Considering how the year has been spiraling out of control, music that makes us feel good is much needed. Progression 2 is a melodious soundtrack for Summer 2020 performed and produced by Bobby Earth— A Houston native now residing in Los Angeles. It's a fusion of Electronic R&B, Jazz, and a sprinkle of Dancehall. Now, I know it may sound like a lot going on at once, but every track is its own vibe, while the production is tastefully and masterfully executed.
The new EP is also an ode to his longtime partner,
Marz, who also designed the artwork. It displays a reflected Earth, parallel to the kaleidoscopic sound of the EP. Each track feels like a trip to a place of bliss.
Ultraviolet seems to be my location of choice. This track leaks of admiration, love, and has been on replay since its release.
