My obsession lately has been alternative rock band, Khruangbin, out of Houston, TX. Their sound is the perfect blend of rock, soul, and psychedelic funk. Con Todo El Mundo, released in 2018, has been heavy in the rotation at the top of THIS year. (I have no problem being a few years late to the party. Thankfully, music has no expiration date) This album specifically takes me to a different place with each track. Evan Finds the Third Room is a fave because I time-travel to the 70s. Not to mention the guitarist SNAPPED the entire song—It's too groovy. Prince was definitely an influence here. Friday Morning is the last track of the album and an absolute stand out. It FEELS like a Friday Morning—where the weather is pleasant, the sun's shining, and you've finally made it to the end of a busy week. This track has been a great start to everyday the past month. Con Todo El Mundo has NO skips. 5/5
