Laila's Wisdom

Now I usually wait and allow an album to sit and marinate before I give my review, but for Rapsody - I COULD NOT WAIT. Let's see, hmm.. when was the last time I was able to listen to a female MC's album from beginning to end with no skips?

Answer: Probably some time between 1998 and 2000 when The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was released. I've listened to Laila's Wisdom front and back at least 10 times in the last 24 hours.

To Rapsody: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Although, you have been putting out quality hip hop for YEARS... This album is THE SHIT. Absolutely embodies everything to consider when one is looking for a solid HIP HOP album - relative content, a fire production (Terrace Martin blew my mind), BARRRRRSSSSS, and cohesiveness.
I'll tune back in later for a more in-depth review. In the meantime, if you are a hip hop fan, please listen to this gem below.
