When I first heard of Tess Henley, the track “Wonderland” came across my TIDAL personal mix playlist and I kept it on repeat for entire month. She is a singer/songwriter/pianist from Washington and her voice is soothing and melodic. Last month, she released her EP called “Better” which is a short burst of soul.. I mean the Motown type of soul. The project reminds me of Amy Winehouse with a hint of Adele. The track “Dean Martin” (a personal fave) makes you want to do a little 2-step with your significant other. “Better” embodies love, Joy, and support for your loved one through it all. I absolutely can’t wait to see her for the first time live along with a fave — Lianne La Havas in the next few weeks !
