I must say, this project was reckless because it shouldn’t have been released. The hooks were a slightly catchy, yet the punchlines were mediocre and almost distracting:
“She say she like my jeans, they got rip after rip”
The beats were cool, but didn’t grab me. Side Note: I actually think he is a dope producer. And I did find myself bobbing my head to
Champion featuring Travis $cott, but no amount of trap beats or features could save this project. Near the end, his flow got better, but
Reckless lacks soul. And I don’t mean some Lauryn, John Legend melodic shit. I mean
Kelly Price by the Migos, or even Playboi Carti’s
Wokeuplikethis — I can’t relate to all of the lyrics, of course, but you simply FEEL it — from the beats to hooks to the lyrics. The best way I can describe this project is when you find a recipe online, and follow the directions exactly as listed — steering away from adding a couple of your own ingredients/flavor.
Bland AF.
I do admire Nav's consistency and he has gained a following, so I can’t knock his hustle. But this project is gonna be a "No" from me.
